The International Student Week in Belgrade (ISWiB)

The International Student Week in Belgrade (ISWiB) is more than an international youth festival — it is a space where ideas, people, and hearts meet. Since 2006, ISWiB has welcomed hundreds of participants each year from across the globe, creating a vibrant community centered on cooperation, creativity, and intercultural understanding.

Our workshops challenge participants to think differently, collaborate across borders, and actively contribute to solving societal issues. But the true essence of ISWiB is found beyond the program. It’s in the feeling that, for one week, you are exactly where you’re meant to be — surrounded by people who don’t just accept you, but understand you. Many describe it as a place where “something in you simply clicks.” A moment where fear turns into purpose, and unfamiliar faces become a source of strength. People come with expectations — and leave with something far greater: a sense of belonging, a renewed belief in themselves, and a bond that words often fail to fully capture.

The festival is organized entirely by volunteers — young people who dedicate their time and hearts to building something meaningful. And while the week may be short, the impact lasts much longer. It is a project that changes you from the inside out, reminding you that you are capable, valued, and never truly alone. ISWiB is not just a week in July. It’s the moment you remember what it means to believe in connection, in kindness, and in the beautiful possibility of people coming together.
